Here is the article published in the Washington Post which recounts the tale of Artemisia who was abused more than 300 years ago. The abuse of women was and still is common practice worldwide among the rich the poor and the ugly.
What is so special with Artemisia is that she looked for justice and made a self portrait which etrnalized the injustice.
On June 1st, 2020, as of 18:00, we, the exploited gender, will demonstrate on the sea shore of Tel Aviv to call for action to punish the exploiters, to educate them for equality of gender and to make our region a more just and equalitarian region.
If we can raise, as much as possible, the awareness of the discrimination against women, then we would have achieved something.
Please join us in our effort, it may be a turning point that will. maybe, stop the next abuse, the next violence and the next murder of women within her family.
